How The Current Automobile Developed From The Beginning.

It can be interesting to understand the history of the automobile that we currently have.The modern automobile is comfortable, classic and with has a nice appearance. There are different models determined by their price and the facilities in the car.Therefore, the following are the events that happened from the beginning of the first car.

The first automobile dated from the year 1769.The automobiles that were being used during this time looked different from the cars that we have today. They seemed more of the carriages that are pulled by horses. Later, people decided it would be a good idea to have carriages that do not need horses to pull them. That’s the moment they realized that they could add engine to their carriages.The carriages were now referred to as horseless carriages but did not take off as expected.

A German engineer by the name Nikolas Otto invented an internal engine that used petrol energy in 1876. A usable engine was made at this time. Experimental cars that used petrol as the main source of fuel were then used to test the engine.

Engineers and mechanics made the first car that used petrol in 1885, and it was sold to the public.Today’s cars cannot be compared with those cars since they had only three wheels which were similar to those on a bicycle and they were very slow as well.

In 1908, the first reliable car was developed. It was called Ford Model T, and it was better to drive this car. The car was available to many people because it was produced in large quantities. Due to the mass production, costs related to production were cut, and therefore the car was cheap making many families buy the car.

The first car that became popular was Volkswagen Beetle.It was designed in the 1930s by Ferdinand Porsche but could only be manufactured in 1945 due to the Second World War.The car became popular to many people because it was not expensive to run, it was strong, and it was not easy to break down.

Many countries all over the world in the 1950s did have disposable income, and they could show their wealth by purchasing big cars and then customize them. Many people came to know car parts such as tail lights, fins, electric windows among others that were used by the wealthy. Unluckily, the large cars used a lot of petrol although it was affordable since people had money.

James Bond started driving Aston Martin in 1960swhen cars became famous. But, it was not until the 1980s when many people in the world started having cars.
